Monday
Brings a precious baby:
the epitome of the ’miracle of life’.
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Tuesday
Comes your enthusiasm for life:
a beautiful bubbly child,
Talking, walking, learning.
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Wednesday
Arrives adolescence:
stubborn, but affable nonetheless.
We fight more than play, but I’ll try to understand.
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Thursday
You slip on your cap and gown:
ready for a new life, to try it out on your own.
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Friday
Approaches a twenty-one year old adult.
You’ve grown so much, and you’ve grown so fast.
You’re fine by yourself, now.
But I’m here -- just in case.
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Saturday
You wed a man you love
An event I have only dreamt of before
I don’t want to let go.
This happened too quickly.
I believe that
You are perfect now, the way you are you.
But I know that tomorrow will bring someone new.
Sunday
Brings a precious baby:
your precious baby.
Your life is your life, and
I cannot hold on any longer.
One thing’s for sure -- this week made me stronger.
You have always been the most perfect thing,
And I’m not quite sure what tomorrow will bring.

the repeating of the end line adds more weight to your words, and gives it a sort of rhythm, without a rhyme scheme.
