Lost

January 25, 2009

Lost in this world, don't know where to go
It's moving too fast, you're moving too slow
It spins and it spins, you sink farther down
You're trying to scream, but can't make a sound
Soon you lose touch, you can't breathe at all
Slipping from Earth, beginning to fall
It spins you around, it's pulling you deep
You want to wake up, but you're not asleep
You're lost in this world, does anyone know?
It's spinning too fast, you slowly let go...

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I feel that it relates to so many people in High School today. It can be a difficult time in our lives, and can make us feel like just giving up.
