So Thats Where It Ends
There's a candle, Harvest scent
burning a slight, faint glow
on the corner of the desk.
It's quiet out, 11:37pm eastern standard time.
Awake with an exhausted body.
Sitting here in silence
listening, to the light tick tick tick of the keyboard... watching as the letters race across the screen.
Frozen.
so it seems.
seems like for this slight instant
that the world has just stopped.
it's so quiet out. not a single sound.
and here i sit.
watching my little candle
Burn.
in the silence of the deep night.
Alone.
