In The Dark

January 24, 2009
By Brittany Allen, North Plainfield, NJ

Loss of thought, touch, and sight.
Loss of the moon and sun light.
Searching for a glow, brightness, or illumination.
Searching for existence, life, or a creation.
In the dark everything is lost and I seek to find something,
a reminder of radiance, being, and sense.

The author's comments:
I write poetry to express my feelings. Most of my poetry expresses my pain or the pain of others. When I write for others I write so strongly that it seems as if the poem is about me. I've been writing poetry ever since fifth grade and some day I plan to publish my work.
