Special place in my heart
Special place in my heart
Reality shines out her death, capturing me with its merciless beam
No longer can I recall her velvety growl with perfect precision
And it’s like I can only see her through a flowing stream
I turn away from my sieve of a mind, disgusted, filled with derision
Sorry, sorry, I’m so sorry, Liberty
A month ago Marley entered my life, a young, bright, inquisitive thing
Now she claims the biggest portion of my heart, and I very well know this
But then why can’t I still cure myself from saying
As I kneel down to praise her, to plant a kiss
“Good girl, Liberty!”
