The Sculpture
The Sculpture
Simple, yet complex
The shapes are many
While the colors are few
Red and yellow fill the piece
Together they make orange,
So apart they stay.
Leaves unfold from the center
All different, perhaps fallen from different trees
The center is a circle, never ending
Round and round forever
Each shape branches from the center
They are all connected, intertwining to stay together
The snake has a sharp and pointy pattern
It is harsh, while still gentle
It coils behind the rest, still there, but not overpowering
The vine falls from the left, untangled just dangling
They seem to be want to be taken hold of.
Now I see eyes, before they were not there
Perhaps they’ve just woken, to watch the world
