How To Feel Alone

And even though our time has passed,
I'm unlikely to forget
The future I saw for us, in your eyes,
Since the day we met.
You showed to me what it's like to love
And how to feel alive.
How on earth could I have known that
You would leave my side?
We bathed in the beauty of the night
And talked about the stars.
Though now they are for others eyes,
And will never be for ours.
You made me feel a world of emotions
That I had never known.
But times have changed; you're showing me
How to feel alone.
