Dreamt You Were Still Here With Me.
Yesterday afternoon was dull and boring
I could barely get out of bed this morning
I drove past the cemetery where you lay for eternity
I held back the tears as my mind replayed out priceless memories
I was so young when we lost you it’s not fair
I would do anything to see you one last time,
to hear you one last time,
to feel your touch just one last time.
Papa, this night I closed my eyes and dreamt you were still here with me.
I miss you more than anything.

This poem is about my Great Grandfather who died when I was 2. We had an extremely close bond even though I was very young. I appreciate the time you took to read this very special poem I wrote for him.
