My Day to Say Goodbye

I didn't mean to make you cry
I didn't want you to be sad
But it was just my time
I had to say goodbye
Wasn’t by choice
But it was my turn
They picked me
My day to "shine"
Even though this wasn't a glorious thing
It was remembered
So don't waste your tears
Don’t be sad
It was going to happen some day
That day jus happened to be today
We all thought it would be later
Not so soon, not today
But don't was time morning
Be happy that I had life
Not that my life was taken
Don’t be mad at who took me away
Be glad they didn't take it sooner
