A Perfectionist's Confession

January 21, 2009
It's gotta
be perfect
my grades
must be perfect
my schedule
must be perfect
must be perfect
my life
must be perfect
my relationships
must be perfect
my environment
must be perfect
must be perfect
but nothing
is perfect
and yet
I still wish
that I
was perfect

...yep. Anything less than 90% is unacceptable. But after reading the other comments, I feel less successful. As long as I keep a 4.0 all year, I'm happy. I guess I do that because I feel so imperfect in one area of my life that I have to validate myself through grades. Okay, so I ramble... awesome poem. :)

That speak straight to me and my personality.I'm a straight A student, and my friends are always asking me why I freak if I make a 96, i't still an A; I like "but it's not 100"!!!

YEEEEES! FINALLY! Something I can relate to! I MUST get my things perfect. I have a 99 in English? No way! I HAVE to get a 100! I have a 100? I have to do better. This is me. I can't even con-crit for this. There is perfection in the poem!
