Keep Holy The Sabbath...
We look up and see the steeple
I know you know what this place is
This is our Sunday morning masquerade
The pastor shakes our hand and says
Good morning and welcome to our mass
Then we cleanse ourselves in the water
Above us hangs the crucifix on which
He bled on and gave up his life on for us
We genuflect before him and then rise
The gospel is taken from Mark chapter one
Follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men
He said to Simon and Andrew, they followed him
For this was the calling of the first disciples
The father speaks his sermon, he tells us
To follow him and bask in his glory
All of us pray together with hope to the words
He has taught us from the Bible
We receive his blood and body
To remember what he has given us
We sing and praise to him; the mass has ended
We kneel before him and the pastor says good day
As we leave, we look up at the steeple
