Fall
Leaves fall around the trees
Buzzing stops from all the bees
Children jump in leaf piles
All you see on their faces are smiles
Cooler air
Flowy hair
Apple picking
Chocolate licking
Caramel apples and candy corn
Getting new clothes that you haven’t worn
Hot chocolate and marshmallows
Listening to songs that are quite mellow
Bonfires and inside fires
Playing games and swinging on tires
Playing fetch and throwing for a catch
Taking your bike out for a ride
Grabbing a book and going outside
Spending time with family and friends
Until winter comes around the bend

Winter
Snow falls on the ground
Snowmen and snow angels all around
Carolers sing at people’s doors
Kids do all their winter chores
Late morning hot chocolate and ham
People get Christmas e-mail spam
Christmas tree picking
And candycane licking
Sledding down hills
And handing out bills
Celebrating the holidays
And looking forward to the next day
Blowing horns and wearing hats
Snuggling up next to the cats
Opening up each and every gift
Even if they are too heavy to lift
Fires, family, and friends
Until winter comes to an end

Spring
March, April, May
All the kids come out to play
There are lots and lots of showers
To bring the prettiest of flowers
The weather is hot and cold
That’s why people take vacations, you know!
Spring cleaning comes around
People start getting Easter food, by the pound
Flowers and trees start to bloom
Seniors start thinking about their college room
Bikes and skateboards start coming out
Kids start smiling instead of pout
Soccer players start to kick
Cheerleaders learn new tricks
Snow starts going away
Rain comes out and skies look gray
Spring is everyone’s favorite
Until summer comes and beats it

Summer
Summer sun
Is warm and fun
Three months long
Celebrating all along
Swimming and skiing
Fishing and singing
Sleepovers and friends
Lakes and bends
Bonfires and camping
Long nights and napping
Vacations and parks
Dogs and puppies that bark
Kids scream and shout
You can’t see any pouts
Teens skateboard and bike
Families go on hikes
Excited people is all you see
Until school comes, and summer leaves
