As I look around the happy, energetic classroom
My mind starts to drift away
My classmates are celebrating Valentines day
Dare I stay.

I close my eyes and wish myself away.
Why do I feel so sad every Valentines day?
Can I put away my sadness?
Just for one day?

I then stop to catch myself
Throwing the bad thoughts away
I stop, think and wonder
What’s the true meaning of Valentines day?

On Valentines day remember all those
Who hold a special place in your heart
Whether they are there physically or Spiritually
Nothing can tear you apart.

Romance is huge
And love is fun
Don’t take it too seriously
There’s no need to run.

Valentine’s day is a day to remember
And honor all kinds of love
And to especially remember
All your loved ones safe and up above

Think of others on Valentines day
Put your disdain away
Remember your friends
On this special day

I put away my anger and sadness
For those who have done me wrong
I love and forgive
Continuing now I must move on

Romance is huge on Valentine's day but I would like everyone to remember it's not just a day to celebrate romance it's a day to honor all kinds of love and think of love for everyone on that day....including all who have done you wrong.
