"Let them hate, so long as they fear me" ~Colligula

The tender darkness still looms in my room
No more gloom or talk of doom
I feel the rain in the blackness of the night
Don’t need love, don’t need light
Its alright
The flames of this inferno burn just as bright
I just might take another breath,
Step away from death and take a rest
From the hatred I invest, in every test in every word I say
Hoping that the next one makes it all okay
Day after day after day
I'm tired, but I won't stop here, you can hear
The world drawn near enough to fear but also hold dear
I won't cry, hold my tears at bay for a day
I'll go out with my friends and play
Forget about my woes and worries,
No longer in a hurry, I create the world clear, unblurry
This fury stays back
I control it, I attack,
Even if my life is off track

I want to move on from this sadness, I shall do so now.

If I didn't patch myself up, I'd be too broken to ever write again :P Every now and then I feel too hurt to write about more pain so I write about happiness and it restores some hope to me ^-^

I like the honest simplicity in this poem. It really works. For sure, the last line is the perfect counterbalance to keep the tone from becoming what I could go out on a limb and call optimistic. ;) I also like that you're showing this other side of you, different from "Rainbows and Light" and "Let Me Walk Away" and "Enter LotusChild" and a lot of your other pieces that are so much about gutting yourself. It's kind of fascinating to see a piece in which you patch yourself back up.

Remember, today is the tomorrow of yesterday you worried about.

I liked the combination of the words used! Specially the last line seemed so emphasizing to me" even if my life is off track".
