Friends 'till the End?
FRIENDS ‘TILL THE END?
We were 4 years old when we met,
The summer before kindergarten.
Wary, hesitant and shy.
You were new with out a friend
My best friend just moved away.
It was meant to be.
We spent every day together,
Playing dress up, Barbies, or house.
Riding bikes, giving makeovers, singing and dancing.
Our days turned into nights,
Sleep overs every weekend.
We were inseparable.
We were 14 years old when we went our separate ways.
We have high school to blame for that.
We made new friends, had different classes, and different interests.
Maybe it wasn’t meant to be.
