The cat prowls the city - where does he venture?
The dog sleeps in tight -- what are in his dreams?
The birds lay their eggs- how many will make it to hatch?
And the clock stuck 12
The branch taps the window.
The stars glimmer bright.
The electricity goes out….but why?
And the wonders are no longer in sight.
Midnight arrives every night
And no one witnesses these mysteries.
