Self preservation- preservation of oneself from destruction or harm
According to Mr. Webster I go against instinct and look right in the face of destruction and scoff. Some call this bravery and others call it stupidity. Either way I’m emotionally tormenting myself. Not only am I harming myself but I’m harming myself happily. I have no self preservation.
If I had any self preservation I wouldn’t have shown up that day.
If I had any self preservation I wouldn’t have worn the pretty blouse.
If I had any self preservation I wouldn’t have been so happy to see him.
If I had any self preservation I would have ignored him ignoring me.
If I had any self preservation I would stop torturing myself with hope.
