In AP World I don’t give up
Even though I failed my first test
Even though I studied till 11:30 on a school night
Even though I was thrilled with B test grades

Even though I failed my first test
After studying longer than ever before
Even though I was thrilled with B test grades
Why can’t I get higher scores?

After studying longer than ever before
I know that I’m hardworking
Why can’t I get higher scores?
I finished outlining 2 months in advance.

I know that I’m hardworking
Yes, I set a record
I finished outlining 2 months in advance
And before every test, I study more

Yes, I set a record
But I’m supposed to be like students before
Before every test, I study more
I’m supposed to be getting higher scores

I’m supposed to be like students before
Those who struggled in AP
I’m supposed to be getting higher scores
But I haven’t yet; I’m different; I’m only me

Those who struggled in AP
Sometimes pulled through with a 3
But I won’t; I’m different; I’m only me
I’m going to get a 5 on the AP

They sometimes pulled through with a 3
Trying my hardest, working the most
I’m going to get a 5 on the AP
I won’t give up

Trying my hardest, working the most
The class has caused a bunch of tears
But I won’t give up
I’m going to break through, you’ll see

The class has caused a bunch of tears
A lot of stress, a lot of work
I’m going to break through, you’ll see
In AP world I don’t give up—I’ll get a 5 on that AP.
