Peering into the past, we were all one in the same way.
Draped in gold and wrapped in conformity,
We were angels of perfection.

We served as beacons of hope for society around us,
Untouched by the fast lane of change and the rapidity of time.

Blindly sitting on the edge of our futures,
We were told that in order to prosper, we must fall.

Carefully, we stepped into our cloudy futures,
Unaware that our fall would change us forever.

With time, a tide of perpetual transformation occurred
And we entered the endless cycle of life.

As each day passed, wisdom filled our brains
And the protective blindfold we were born with began to fall off.

The rhythm of life was broken,
And the innocence we were born with dispersed.

We were a sea of change,
Searching for our brighter future ahead.

But as our gold began to fade, and our conformity was no longer,
We tried to fight the inevitable.

We reached back for our purity,
Attempting to preserve and piece back the past.

We tried to capture our youth
But no matter how hard we tried,
And no matter what we did,
We were unable to reclaim our past.
