Am I like a marker, here to stay?
Am I am pencil mark that can be erased away?
I want to stay and I want to go
I leave a mark on every road
Close and far, long and wide
I am there all the time
If I’m a pencil let me go free
if I’m a marker stay with me
You may think I’m washable, but that is not so
I am here to stay so, don’t let me go
I am permanent.
Let me leave my mark
With a touch of a hand I am there from the start
I will always be there in your heart
I will go
but will remind you so
I am a permanent marker
I won’t let you go
