Slowly Sinking
Sitting here silently watching her go down.
There isn’t anything we can do to save her now.
She is beginning to slip away.
Terror fills the eyes of those who will be left behind.
Some cry; Some scream; Some stand in shock.
Some have accepted her fate.
This wasn’t supposed to happen.
She was so young, so beautiful.
She had a full life ahead of her.
Nobody could have imagined what lay ahead.
They ignored the signs, ignored the feelings.
It was fate. Destiny was taking over.
She came in full force,
Only to be stuck down in her prime.
Silenced with one harsh blow.
They did what they could to help,
Tried their very best.
But He has made up His mind. It is her time to go.
No one can save her now.
The night grows dark and cold.
She slowly fades away.
A chilling feeling overcomes all.
Taking her last breath, she slowly sinks into the dark abyss.
It is silent.
