Behind These Blinds
March 10, 2015
I closed my eyes,
Shut the blinds.
Locked this heart,
For a while.
Played my life,
On rewind,
Trying to see where I went wrong.
So very wrong.
But it's cold way down there,
Remembered why,
I closed it off.
I can't get lost,
In the past,
Not again,
It's everywhere.
I'll stay away,
And hope and pray,
That this problem will resolve itself on its own.
But you and I,
Yes we know,
That the past is there to haunt.
