You showered me with stardust
Taught me how to fly
You saved me from my darkest night
I never understood why

But there you were on your white steed
Extending your rescuing hand
You patched my heart that long did bleed
And told me stories of many lands

Every dawn greeted me with your words
Bon matin mon cheri
And every night I closed my eyes
Good night love you would say to me

Then you were appointed to King
My prince charming was suddenly dead
Our good bye had a particular sting
I just missed my friend

I must forget you, I must, I must
You showered me with stardust
