Day in Perspective
Day in Perspective
Curtains of sparkling mist part.
Glittering beams of light break through,
Illuminating the waking world below.
Dew drops glint shyly,
Clinging helplessly to the lush green grass.
The earth awakes.
Scorching rays shoot forth.
Heat swirls and blows through the air,
Caressing the world with a warm hand.
The flowers open,
Their smiling faces beaming back joy.
The earth lives.
Clouds reflect pink and orange.
Sun rays dip down, touching the water,
A mirror of gold stretches the expanse of the lake.
The wind grows dark,
Blanketing the world in night.
The earth sleeps.
