Thanks to the grocery store clerk
You know,
The one you barked and snapped at this morning for being slow
Thanks,
For working hard to benefit us

Thanks to the school teacher
You know,
The one you bad-mouthed about behind their back
Thanks,
For taking time from your days to create lessons for us to learn

Thanks to the homeless man in your town
You know,
the one you made fun of and spit at
Thanks,
For being kind, despite how you are treated

Thanks to the janitor
You know,
The one you ignore and forget about
Thanks,
For keeping our school clean

Thanks to the Drive-Thru worker
You know,
The one you shouted at for being slow
Thanks,
For always having a smile on your face

Thanks to the military officer

You know,

The one you called selfish and prideful

Thanks,

For sacrificing your time to fight for our country

Thanks to all of the ignored workers
Your job is not being overlooked.
