Little Lion
  look at you, my little lion,
  going off to war,
  your rifle strung across your chest—
  what are you fighting for?

  your bark so loud, so unconstrained,
  but does it fit your bite?
  could it be, my dear, my love,
  you were not meant to fight?

  look at you, my little lion—
  stone stares back at me;
  a grave remains, a distant gleam
  of what you used to be.
