Fading into Death

And so this is what dying means
Being crushed under rocks of confusion
drowning in the sea of dry tears
And so this is being lost in the desert of depression means
staring at your blank, lifeless world
Taking the bloody dagger out of your heart with your own bare hands
And so this is what fading into the background means
Emerging yourself into the murky depths of confusion
Turning away from the impossibly far away window of hope.
