What is impossible with man is possible with God. Luke 18:27

Off I go with my backpack and my hat
I’m leaving you broken-hearted
I loved you one time long ago
So as I say this, I’m so so sorry
Sometimes we need a break
A chance for us to grow
It’s really hard to say goodbye
But it’s for the best I know

It would be so much easier
If I just hated your guts
But you’re a great person
And that just drives me nuts
I like making mistakes
Things I’ll learn from one day
You don’t love my lifestyle
And that’s the reason I can’t stay

I’ve started to go crazy
Things that remind me of you make me mad
We watched the emperor’s new groove
And Pacha was a pain in the a**
My stomach drops when you text me,
So I just don’t respond
And by your constant attempts to reach me
I realize that’s wrong

I’m sure your sister wants to snipe me
And your mom would like my head
My own parents are quite disappointed
You should come live with them instead
I’d rather be far away
Somewhere warm and tropical with my best friends
I like to avoid conflict
So this break-up letter, I will send

I never thought this would happen
I thought you could be the one
I guess I was just a hopeful teenager
What I needed was to have fun
The pressure from our friends and family
Proved to be too much
I’m way too young for all of this
I hope you won’t hold a grudge

I’m sorry for hurting you
For flattening your heart
But you could do with some distance
And I too will do my part
I’ll sort out all my issues
And chase my crazy dreams
I’ll figure out what I want to do with my life
And what it all means
