Zzzzzz sleep

Ohh how I love to sleep.
If you were smart, you would too
The pleasure I get from resting my eyes for an hr or two.
When I was young, I’d complain
About how I hobbled to bed early
And brag about how late I got to idle around.
Now, I brag on how early I went to bed,
and complain on how late I stayed up.
Why couldn’t there be 30 hrs in a day.
With a few extra hrs,
I would lavish all the rest I was deprived of
But no! I’m stuck on only 24.
Then that darn alarm goes off
Making me rise
It goes off
And rings
And dings
Like a big cockatoo.
