I Walked My Dreams Into a Cornfield and Shot Them

Jokes,
Orbiting a troubled mind,
Is what they called my dreams.
No matter.
They were right.
Here I lie my dreams to rest.
Eyelids heavy in the dying light.
Nestled in the crypt of hope.
And to give them up was right.
Vapors of memories may haunt me tomorrow.
Yet I feel no regret today.

Thanks...sorry...but...actually, I had to do this as a school assignment. There is nothing serious about this poem. It's a parody. The title is inspired by a Simpsons episode. Where Homer shoots his clones in a cornfield.

omg thts so inspired man...the question is, what dreams are you giving up? from the sound of your writing, it sounds like youve got a lot on your mind. And if peopl make fun of somthing like that, then theyr so wrong. Yea i know i sound really corny rite now, but anything from tht oasis you call your mind doesnt sound like some joke. Maybe u can give your dreams a 2nd chance?...for me? lol<3
