They can be with you till' the day you die.
Or betray you when you need them the most.
They can be so odd and sometimes they boast.
But are there for you when you need to cry.
There is nothing like it from coast to coast.
When you hunger for it, advice they post.
For these are the special ones you hold close.
Think what we would do without them, oh my.
When a loved one passes you need a friend.
To pull you backup and help you mend.
Acting silly and making you smile.
Without friends one couldn't go a while.
I know I need them, probally you too.
But friends are essential, this is so true.
