Lord: My Savior: Our Savior

Lord,
Can you hear me crying?
On the inside and out,
As I sit here and your picture above the mantle.
My mind sinking in, full of doubt.

Lord,
Can you feel my pain?
That fills my body, going straight to my heart,
I look up to your picture above the mantle.
My eyes fill with tears, to the pages that were torn apart.

Lord,
Can you hear the suffering?
That goes on,
All across the globe.
Many people have your picture above their mantle.
As their eyes fill up with tears,
The fight for hope continues on.

Lord,
Can you see the light?
The happiness that is rarely inside me.
After the many years that have passed,
I still have your picture above my mantle.
The pain stops,
As I look straight into the shining light.
I think of all the lives you have saved,
And finally I have the sense of the security,
That those have all experienced.
