I love books
Books waiting in their leather cases
To transport me to far off places
And all for free you see
That’s why I love the library
Some pay thousands for an education
They get loans and debts that cause frustration
Never reaching the realization
That all they would have to do is look
Within the pages of a book
To get the information
Needed for a proper education

Now this gets some people scared
And can cause censorship to be declared
Maybe even fires to blare
Burning precious books beyond repair

If this were to ever commence
I don’t think I would have the sense
To accept the horrid offence

I might just fling my head back and cry
Taking my frustration out on the silent sky
And in my rage I would discover
That I may in fact never recover
Because….
I love books
