All We Do!

We spend our lives waiting
For several different things
We watch the chances fly by
But never take a swing
We stand so very still,
Waiting to get hit.
Never wanting to risk,
Aboarding that sailing ship.
The water is filled with obstacles,
What if we sink and die?
But the world is calling out to us,
"Spread your wings and fly"!
Your wings have been dying,
For all the world to see.
To show off what you're made of,
To show what you can be.
You can be anything you want,
Test the hand of fate.
But we"ll never make it anywhere,
If all we do is wait!
