Like a Statue
I felt like an statue just waiting in the breeze
He said, “You can do it!”
The wind blew cold upon my face
I was a young child
As he pushed me, I felt like a speeding cheetah
I went faster and faster gaining more speed
Until I fell into the bushes
My confidence was lost, taken away from me
I didn’t want to get back on, but I wanted to be a winner
I was soaring in the stars
I was floating on thin air
When I felt confident enough I said,
“Daddy you can let go now.”
