The Funeral

Yesterday the air was winter
All pulses stopped for a moment
Breaths ran cold

We carried the heavy burden
Shadows descended like a falling stone
We bring him down

To a fault in the earth
Where life stopped and sadness began
He was a distant memory

Today we live through
Good memories and laughter and
We remember him
