The Reminder
The memory of your smile hangs in the air
When its so thick I feel it in my skin
And your laughter becomes too much to bear
Yet to forget your face would be a sin
I stand in front of your doorstep today
And fight the urge to knock against the door
I look once more before I walk away
Tears of regret fall on the pavement floor
One day all this will be just one more dream
The unavoidable will soon arrive
Ill never hear your voice by any means
When will a spec of hope in me revive?
Some day I know in your heart Ill belong
Until then I must sing this endless song
