A loved one she never met
Wondering where her days were spent
No grandma she had to love
No one was there to hug
Cancer took her life
She thinks about her day and night
Her thoughts like lightning striking before her eyes
You hear her sighs
Gone before they could meet
She wants to cry
She wants to weep
Especially when the dreams begin to creep
Did she have that blue glare in her eyes?
Red hair swinging side to side?
Was she easily confined?
Did she have a great mind?
These questions will never be answered
Due to her grandmother’s cancer
That consumed her and brought her into the light
Yet the little girl still prays for her at night
