1.
The tranquil river awakens
the ripples spread
like water
on a table
the soft shower
splashes along the
rivers edge

2.
The river
With twists and
turns,
ventures through
the wooded forest
It leaps
over cracked rocks
and plummets into pools below

3.
         Birds soar and fish leap
among the dams and
the dark
The dismal
water
swimming and navigating
the murky depths
of the river
4.
The fly is cast as
the fisherman tugs
as he
awaits
for fish
to bite
He stands waist deep in water
day in
and day out as
he awaits for the perfect fish
5.
The kayaker slides down
the mossy rocks
into the boisterous river
each stroke timed
as if
he and the river are one
as he nears the cascade
everything
all thoughts
and memories dissolve
and for those three incredible
seconds
he and the river are
one

6.
He strolls along the
dilapidated path
He remembers back
to every
day
he’s taken the same
arboraceous route
The path opens
he spots the
magnificent
river glistening
in the morning sun

7.
The worker clambers down,
to the rivers
edge
he flings waste in the
elegant river
and destroying the creeks
natural
beauty
