An Atypical Love Poem

December 27, 2008

Perversely enough I wish my heart was shattered.
I wish my heart ached with over the top cries bellowing from the deepest shaft
Desperately bearing the weight of a romance aghast
I long for the feeling of grief which overpowers ones common sense and causes
Black to reign and yellow to burn among the poppy fields beside the creek
Where only the lucky ones survive with their bodies intertwined
Fusing the future of tomorrow
A broken heart is a blessed heart
For they experienced what it means to divulge the worlds secrets
And care for another passionately
While ive not once known the power of love
Id be willing to exchange a dull, deadening approach
For a ghastly consequence
If I could treasure loves bloom
