The Rain's Comfort

Walk out into the rain...
What do you see but rain?
Step on a puddle, wait,
Hear it splash, hear the rain;
It pours, gently, slowly,
Feel the raindrops, fall down,
Across your lukewarm cheeks,
Now perhaps... half frozen,
But who would care standing...
In the rain's comfort?

The author's comments:
The rain is like a soothing reminder that tears are both for sadness and for joy. It brings life to plants, yet often keeps us locked inside our houses. I don't think it matters if I catch a cold; I'd rather step outside!
