Sonnet 4

Together we are the great lakes of love.
Floating, swimming in desolate waters
The sadness of the world twisting above
and eyes crying at these endless slaughters.
But we are lost here, completely alone,
Seeing nothing, for we are each other.
Entwined and tangled like a fierce cyclone.
A mess of limbs that should, but won't, smother.
Our eyes sparkle even in faintest light
The blues and greens highlighting our sweet smiles
So glad are we and sure that all is right.
Here we'll be through every trick and trial.
My soul's useless without you by its side
A strangled whisper floating in the tide.
