She would put walls up
So to fetter herself from everyone
But hoping someone
Will break them down
While nobody seems to notice
That she is covertly hurting inside
Hoping someone will break
this wall she built around her
They think she’s alright
Because she is always smiling
Like nothing is wrong
Always in a good mood
But inside her
She is falling to pieces
Thinking to herself
No one can assuage this pain
Or no one will commiserate and try to save her
So she keeps the walls up
As they get thicker, she is more disconsolate,
hoping someone will break through
And save her from herself
