Box

December 29, 2008
By Chelsey Williams, Neil's Harbour, ZZ

A coat of Crystal
It covers the chilly ground
Houses laced in lights of joy to celebrate
The birth of their messiah
Yesterday

Boxing day
A day to box
Clense my room
Make room
For all the goods the jolly fat man has given me

Why?
For being such a good little girl

Taking a final puff
Warming my throat, warming my cold soul
I box up rain
Childhood memories filled with pain
Not to forget but to make way
Make way for brighter days
