I may have reconsidered
What once was there is now long gone
And yet your soul still lingers
Or is it that you left this world with my heart right there with you?
But that no longer matters much, for my very being withers
The stars have dulled to distant rocks
The moon now barely shimmers
And to my eyes the sun shines dark
Where once was fire and flame
We both once vowed, when much in love
To never leave the other
Yet if I had known this everlasting vow
Would transcend demise itself
I may have reconsidered
