You turned down a kiss so I wrote you a sonnet.
Was it your voice, your words, your smile, your face?
No one else agreed with me about you.
What made me like you? It wsn't my place
to love someone who didn't love me too.
Am I not good enough for you? Am I
too short, too dumb for you, too young, too plain?
You tricked me, made me laugh, then made me cry.
I dreamed I kissed you outside in the rain.
But Disney lied, dreams don't come true, even
if the way you looked at me some of those
summer nights made me believe they do, then
Why is my heart still wishing? My head knows-
I only ever wished to be with you.
My wish is never ever coming true.
