is even better than waking at six to a
birthing sky
partly because you look better in your red tee
than any sunrise
partly because of the afternoon sunshine that lights up
your face
and your every movement that still takes my breath
away
I could never
see anyone in the same light in which you
bathe
except for my dog and she’s a vicious
thing
but you like dogs too so we can love her
together
when you finally see
everything we could be
if only you could just
see me
