Goodbye Dana

I wish I had the chance to know you more,
When I think about it my heart is sore.

I know you are in a better place,
You now fly in yor very own heavenly space.

Your friends and family whom you once knew,
Are waiting for the day that they join you.

Your family who have passed on before,
Greeted you at heavens doors.

My memory of you will never fade,
Your spirit marches on like a parade.

You will always be inside my heart,
My love for you will never depart.

In my heart that is where you will stay,
Until end of my days.

In memory of Dana Marie 1993-2003

The author's comments:
Dana died in 2003, but I didn't write this poem until 2008. Dana was my sisters best friend and she died in a car accident.
