Fade to Blue
December 31, 2008
As I watched the two towers crumble to dust
I saw people’s hopes and dreams fade into the earth’s crust
Trying to escape the flames
They jumped from the burning towers
Hoping that God would answer their prayers
But their prayers possessed no powers
On T.V. a widows tears run down her face
She’s stuck in time
No sound
No space
People look around, so confused
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world
People watch
So Amused
The country is under attack
So what does Bush do?
Nothing, he just keeps on reading
While New York City
Fades to Blue
