The Stars are out Tonight

Life is a journey one must live through.
To handle good relationships between the bad,
To handle our emotions from happy to sad.
You're a survivor when each year ends,
You become a warrior from each new experience you go through.
But before your journey ends, think about you family and friends.
They helped you become strong,
They helped you up everytime you fall,
They would lend you a comforting hand and a shoulder to cry on.
Take a good look at what each one of them gave you.
Love is what they teach you
There's no way to define it, you have to show it.
Relationships have their ups and downs,
People will come and go in your life
But the ones who stick by your side are the ones who are the most important.
Love conquers over all and hatred should never suffice.
Keep a pure, open, and golden heart and keep out the coldness of hate,
Be forgiving to others even if they hurt you.
Before you journey on into the outside world, you must never forget the people who made you who you are today.
Think of love like the sparkling stars in the sky.
So whenever you need a reminder, look outside, the stars are out tonight.

The author's comments:
I wrote "The Stars are out Tonight" because as we grow up and get ready to move on into the big world, we sometimes forget to remember the ones who helped become who we are. My friends inspired me to write this one night, because I noticed that whenever something happens, they're always there, no matter what. I hope you enjoy this poem, and I hope it helps all of us remember our friends who were with you through the laughter and tears.
